Frequently Asked Questions

IWB and Windows UAC
Last Updated 10 years ago

The IWB application requires Windows Administrator privileges for some components. For most sites, where Windows UAC is disabled and Group Policy or similar is used instead this is not such an issue. For sites that use UAC we have prepared some workaround notes, attached to this FAQ.

IWB is being replaced by the new improved IWBPro, which avoids this issue.

The most basic workaround is:

1.Disable UAC - necessary for this non-windows certified software.
2.Install as local administrator
3.Register the software as normal staff user.

Alternative workarounds are described in the document attached.
