VCC uses the screen recorder built-in with the old IWB application which we no longer supply.

IWB has been replaced by IWBPro, but the integration with its Screen Recorder will not be complete until December 2016.

Until then we suggest the following workaround.

1. Download and Install a free Screen Recorder application

There are many free/open source screen recorder applications. One that seems to be popular is CamStudio.

This is available from http://camstudio.org/ .

2. Configure VCC External Screen Recorder.

Start VCC and then click File/Settings:




To change the current setting click on the "..." button and select the recorder program, for example  "C:\Program Files (x86)\CamStudio 2.6b\Recorder.exe".

When recording with CamStudio make sure you select "Fixed Region" to record to avoid the error:

"CamStudio could not record the AVI file using the current compressor. Use default compressor?

Click Save and restart VCC for the change to take effect.
