Touch inactivated on external PCs when Chrome is used.
Last Updated 5 years ago

This affects external PCs/laptops connected to the touch screen.

If you start your external PC/laptop , and start up Chrome, and then connect to the iBoardTouch screen as external input, you might find the touch is disabled.

The causes is Google Chrome disabling touch if it does not detect a touch device.

This can be avoided either by ensuring the device is connected before the laptop and Chrome are started, or by disabling this feature in Chrome as follows:

  1. Start Chrome
  2. In the address bar type "chrome://flags" and press Enter.
  3. Search (using Control-F) for "touch".
  4. The "Enable touch events" flag should be highlighted. If it is set to "Automatic" or "Disabled" change it to "Enabled".
